General Hospital’s Scotty Baldwin has been missing from the Port Charles scene for well over a year.

The character practically vanished into thin air in 2024, with barely anyone even mentioning his name.

Throughout his absence, Kin Shriner has shared multiple vintage photos from his decades on the ABC soap, but his latest Instagram post indicates we might finally see Scotty again soon.

Kin Shriner Thinks of Laura

“Always been fun! Hope to do it again soon!! Scotty Laura Honeymoon,” he wrote, alongside a snap of himself and Genie Francis in character as Scotty and Laura on their Hollywood honeymoon in 1979.

A teenage Laura had married law student Scotty right before meeting older disco owner Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary).

It was Luke who eventually came between the young couple and helped end things. Scotty quickly turned from an idealistic law student to a constant scoundrel, wounded over his first love leaving him.

Through it all, Shriner has played the part, often softening Scott around the edges. When Scott became a father to Serena, Shriner showed us a whole different side to the character.

Now that Serena will be returning to Port Charles with Kelly Kruger in the role later this summer, fans expect that Scott can’t be too far behind.

The last time we saw Scott, he was keeping his eye on the pharmacist who switched Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) bipolar meds.

He had gone out for a snack, but when he returned, Jason (Steve Burton) had already been there. We saw Scott drop his bag of food and then — that was it.

Nobody has seen Scott or asked about his whereabouts since, which is quite unusual since he was doing Ava’s (Maura West) dirty work when he disappeared.

If Shriner does bring Scotty back to GH, there will be plenty of story for him with Serena around. Maybe he will even pick things up where he left off with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
