Carter and Steffy lean on one another in the Monday, August 17 episode of Bold and the Beautiful as they share their hurt. Also, Ridge unleashes his anger on Finn as he worries for his daughter.

What Happened Previously on B&B?

Sad and drunk, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) opened up to an equally sad and drunk Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) in Forrester’s CEO office.

She’d hopped a plane from Monaco without letting anyone know that she was headed home. While on the flight, she spent the majority of her time drowning her sorrow in alcohol over the end of her marriage.

Steffy had left Finn (Tanner Novlan) for his continued involvement with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). The mother-son duo, having shared a plane ride to Monaco, was the last straw.

Though Finn couldn’t have gotten Sheila off the plane, Steffy was hurt that he kept her presence a secret.

Meanwhile, Carter was drinking because Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) had left him. He’d tried to get her to let him come with her to Paris, but she wouldn’t budge.

She decided that their marriage had to end because she couldn’t conceive. They wanted a family together, but not being able to provide that for him destroyed her sense of self.

Daphne believes that it was a mistake to have fallen in love with Carter and moved to Los Angeles. She thinks her diagnosis is a sign that she’s not meant to be a mother. Nothing Carter has said has changed her mind.

Finn is desperate to find Steffy. He shared with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) that he doesn’t know where she is. Ridge lost his cool with his son-in-law. He holds Finn responsible for Steffy’s disappearance because it once again involves Sheila.

Ridge thinks Sheila never listens to Finn. When Finn tried to speak to the contrary, he cut him off. He didn’t want to hear Finn defend his birth mother or call her his mom. Ridge asserted that Li (Naomi Matsuda) is his mother. Finn agreed, but he wouldn’t dismiss the truth of who Sheila is to him.
