Bold & Beautiful Shocker: The *Real* Reason Katie Hates Dylan Revealed

We knew there was more to this story! Katie’s intense dislike of Will’s new flame, Dylan, was so over-the-top as to be almost unbelievable.

As it turns out, the real reason behind Katie’s behavior may have nothing to do with Melissa at all!

Katie’s reaction to seeing Dylan at Will’s beach house was extreme even for a protective mother. For no apparent reason whatsoever, she came out swinging verbally at the stunned young woman, and her shocking attacks have only escalated.

To say Bold & Beautiful viewers were taken aback would be an understatement.

No one could understand why Katie was unleashing such venom on Dylan, especially since his ex-girlfriend, Electra, had treated him terribly, and Dylan had been nothing but supportive and lovin

g. We desperately needed this to make some kind of sense! As it turns out, there may be an explanation, albeit somewhat twisted, that will shed some light on her baffling behavior.

While Katie appears to be in protective mom mode, we don’t believe that’s actually the driving force behind her attacks on Dylan.

In fact, we think that all of this anger she’s off-loading on the poor young woman, while legitimate, is not about her at all.

Think about it… who is Katie furious with right now? What happened right before she first encountered Dylan at Will’s?

Our theory is that Katie is projecting her anger at Brooke onto Dylan. Why would she do such a thing? Well, because Dylan may remind her of the younger version of her sister.

When Dylan mentioned growing up admiring the Spencers and dreaming of what their luxury lifestyle might be like, it sure sounded a lot like Brooke mooning over the Forrester family.

Dylan’s interest in Will may be akin to Brooke pursuing Ridge in her younger years.

Dylan is obviously sleeping with Will, which may also remind Katie of Brooke, who was confident in her sexuality, where her sister felt awkward and less attractive. Bottom line: Dylan may have the misfortune of sharing enough similarities with a young Brooke that she’s become a convenient target for Katie’s rage. She may be so triggered that she doesn’t realize how illogical, unfair and cruel she’s being.

Might a reality check from Dylan’s mom Darcy snap her out of it? Unfortunately, we’re guessing not, as Katie has a lot of frustration and anger to get out, and since Brooke has removed herself from the equation, Dylan and Darcy are likely to continue being the unlucky recipients of her ongoing fury.
