The Unbelievable Dynamic: Holly and EJ
First up, I cannot believe what the writers are doing with Holly and EJ. We all know EJ is a monster—he buried those arsenic-laced coral pills on Smith Island and framed a teenager, planting pills in Holly’s bag to protect DiMera Pharmaceuticals. Because of his actions, Tate lost all trust in Holly, leading to their breakup.
Yet, upcoming spoilers reveal Holly is actually turning to EJ! Is she completely naive, or is she secretly playing him to find proof? Since she is just a grieving kid who lost her boyfriend and her best friend, Sophia, she likely has no idea he set her up. Still, watching her turn to the man who ruined her life makes me want to scream at my television.
International Intrigues and Heartbreaking Goodbyes
Meanwhile, Chad and Belle are packing their bags for Italy. They have been obsessing over Stefano’s chess set—specifically a missing pawn piece. Given Salem’s history, this screams “sleeper agent.” While I enjoy their detective chemistry with Thomas and Charlotte away in Boston, I just hope they don’t awaken a brainwashed assassin. Marlena had premonitions of disaster, and she is always right.
Over at the hospital, prepare your tissues. Lexi and Abe are renewing their vows as a final goodbye. Dr. Rolf’s cure is failing, and Lexi is fading fast. EJ played God with his sister’s life, and now Abe has to pay the price. It is going to be the most beautiful, devastating scene of the year.
Karma for Kristen & Romance for Elani
Speaking of DiMera drama, Kristen is finally getting her karma. After using Sophia to try and burn Johnny alive, EJ is taking ultimate revenge by having Kristen kidnapped. Before she disappears into some dungeon, Kristen shares a tearful farewell with a terrified Rachel at Bay View. Stacy Haiduk is going to act her heart out, and even though Kristen deserves this, a mother saying goodbye to her child is always a gut punch.
Thankfully, we have Eli and Lani to bring some desperately needed happiness. They are celebrating their anniversary with some steamy, romantic moments. Between Chanel’s pregnancy breast cancer battle and Lexi’s impending death, the Price-Carver family is drowning in tragedy. Eli stepping up as the ultimate supportive husband is exactly what we need.
Corporate Whiplash and the Search for Gwen
Finally, Gaby Hernandez is causing absolute chaos. She just pulled her Titan bailout offer right out from under Philip and Xander! Isolated and spiraling after Ariana refused to forgive her for bribing Liam, Gaby is becoming ruthless again.
But the biggest mystery is that Gwen Rizczech has vanished into thin air. The duo teaming up to find her? Gaby and Leo Stark! These two lonely, scheming outcasts are playing Hardy Boys to find Gwen, and they are even bringing in DA Melinda Trask to help. Trask hates EJ—who likely snatched Gwen to protect his lab—and she wants a high-profile takedown.
