Let’s start with Tracy Abbott, who is officially the bravest woman on television. At the Abbott mansion, surrounded by a deeply traumatized Diane, Kyle, and Jack, Tracy takes charge. Demanding absolute silence, she sets up a video call to Martin Laurent—the psychopath holding information on Dr. Lawrence Markham, the man who kidnapped Diane.

Martin pops onto the screen, oozing creepy charm and reminiscing about their past. Cold as ice, Tracy shuts him down: this isn’t a social call. Martin smirks and drops a bombshell—he knows where Markham is, but he’ll only talk if Tracy meets him in person at an isolated summer house to let him beg for forgiveness. Knowing it’s a trap, Tracy agrees anyway and slams her laptop shut. She’s walking straight into a villain arc, and I am terrified for her!

Heartbreak for the Newmans

Over at the ranch, Nikki Newman prepares to have her eye bandages removed. After praying at her vanity, she heads to the hospital surrounded by Victoria, Nick, Victor, and Claire. The tension in the examination room is suffocating. As Dr. Now slowly unwraps the bandages, Nikki blinks against the light—and cries out in pure agony.

“It’s all black. There’s nothing.”

Her sight isn’t back. Victor tries to control the room, insisting it’s temporary, but Nikki is shattered. Returning to the ranch, she shuts Victor out and retreats to her room. Overwhelmed by grief and rage, she hurls her hairbrush into the vanity mirror, shattering it into pieces before breaking down in tears. To make matters worse, Victor is secretly plotting to steal her company shares during her most vulnerable moment, while Nick is throwing tantrums over Phyllis.

Phyllis Plays with Fire

Speaking of Phyllis Summers, her choices today were pure madness. After spending the night with Matt Clark—the man who previously terrorized Genoa City—she wakes up to find him on her couch. Instead of running, she tells Matt she felt “safe” with him. Bestie, be for real!

They head to Society for breakfast, where Phyllis drops the ultimate shocker: Victor gave her a new company, and she wants to hire Matt to help build it from scratch. Offering employment to her former captor? My brain is short-circuiting! Matt asks if it’s pity, but Phyllis insists it’s a mutually beneficial partnership.
