Days of our Lives Next Week Comings and Goings: The devil and 2 stars return to Salem, July 13-17
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Rachel’s Dark Turn, Baby Drama, and Lexi’s Heartbreaking Last Stand
Get ready, Days of Our Lives fans, because Salem is about to erupt in a whirlwind of emotional chaos, shocking face-offs, and devastating twists. From the rise of a new generation of evil to a tragic medical time bomb, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming high-stakes drama.
Rachel Black: The Ultimate Legacy Villain Emerges
The ultimate bad seed is officially returning to the canvas. Lola Olivia Moat is back as Rachel Black on Thursday, July 16th, and her return is sending shockwaves through Salem. Spoilers confirm that Marina Evans is growing deeply concerned about Rachel’s increasingly troubling behavior.
Honestly, it’s about time someone noticed. Rachel has been a ticking time bomb her entire life, constantly manipulating situations to help her mother, Kristen DiMera, destroy Brady and Chloe’s relationship. With Rachel fresh out of Bayview, Marina finally realizes that this young woman is morphing into a miniature Stefano right before our eyes.
The weight of this dark transformation falls squarely on Kristen. She poisoned Rachel’s mind, murdered Sophia Choy, used Sophia to try and kill Johnny, and is now running around playing the comforting mother. Let’s not forget that Rachel literally shot her own uncle, EJ. Conditioned to believe that violence and manipulation are the only answers, Rachel is officially stepping into her role as Salem’s next major legacy villain.
The Messiest Baby Drama in Daytime TV
Meanwhile, the baby drama is reaching a fever pitch on Monday, July 13th, as baby Kelsey returns to the screen (played by adorable twins Lena and Mera Chase).
Unfortunately, Kelsey’s mother, Joy Wesley, is proving to be the biggest gold digger Salem has seen in a decade. Joy completely faked a medical panic just to force Alex Kiriakis to foot the bill and put Kelsey on the premium Kiriakis insurance plan—and Alex is falling for it hook, line, and sinker.
The Real Victim: Stephanie Johnson. After being kidnapped and psychologically tortured by Owen Kent, Stephanie is suffering from severe PTSD. Instead of supporting her, Alex moves his sneaky baby mama directly into their orbit.
When a pushed-to-the-brink Stephanie fired a gun at Joy inside the apartment, she played right into Joy’s hands. Joy is now weaponizing that near-fatal shooting to completely ban Stephanie from Kelsey’s life. It looks like Alex and Stephanie are heading for a brutal divorce, and Joy’s ultimate prize will be moving right into the Kuryakis mansion.
Lexi Carver’s Heartbreaking Last Stand
The most devastating bombshell of the week centers on the legendary Lexi Carver (Nikki Crawford). On Monday, July 13th, Lexi confides a massive, heartbreaking secret to Marina Evans.
The devastating truth? Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s resurrection drug is failing. Lexi Carver is dying all over again.
EJ DiMera played God, ignoring Rolf’s warnings that the resurrection serum causes a gruesome second death filled with mania and lethal side effects. Now, Lexi is suffering from severe neurological headaches, and her clock is ticking. Knowing her husband Abe will lose his mind when the inevitable happens, Lexi begs Marina—who has survived death, devil possession, and DiMera science—to provide psychiatric care for Abe and Theo.
But Lexi isn’t going out without a fight. On Thursday, July 16th, knowing she has absolutely nothing left to lose, Lexi faces off with Kristen DiMera.
As the moral compass of the family, Lexi is set to unleash decades of pent-up DiMera rage. She is going to march right into the DiMera living room and verbally destroy Kristen for ruining Rachel’s life, targeting Johnny, and being a bitter woman who destroys everything she touches. Facing death, Lexi has no fear, setting up a classic, Emmy-worthy “heroine’s last stand” that fans will be talking about for years.
What do you think? Is Rachel beyond saving? And how hard are you going to cry when Lexi says her final goodbye to Abe? Let me know your predictions in the comments below!
