It all starts innocently enough: Katie is alone at the office, casually tidying up—which is already hilarious because since when does a CEO do her own janitorial work? But while moving things around, she accidentally knocks over Melissa Dylan’s bag. Katie picks up the mess, and that’s when she finds it: an old, worn photograph.
The moment she looks at it, the blood completely drains from her face. Katie realizes Melissa Dylan isn’t just a random opportunist trying to infiltrate Forrester Creations—she is the literal daughter of Katie’s sworn enemy, someone who tried to ruin her life years ago. Katie has survived heart transplants, family betrayals, and endless trauma, and now the spawn of her worst enemy is sleeping with her son, Will!
To make matters worse, Will recently slept with Dylan at the beach house, totally torpedoing his chances with Electra Forrester. Dylan even bragged about it to Electra at work. Knowing all of this, Katie immediately commands Will to come to the office.
When Will struts in, he has no idea what’s coming. He thinks she’s going to lecture him about his fashion line or his messy love life. Instead, Katie shoves the photograph right in his face and demands he immediately cut ties with Dylan, calling her a poisonous snake.
Instead of listening, Will acts like a classic, stubborn Spencer man. He snaps, yelling right back at her. He claims Katie is just being overly sensitive and projecting her paranoia because of her ongoing feud with the Logans. He is completely blind to the fact that Dylan is a calculated mastermind using him to climb the social ladder. He genuinely thinks Dylan is just a sweet girl who comforted him when Electra broke his heart.
Katie refuses to back down. She looks him dead in the eye and warns him that Dylan’s entire presence is a malicious trap, swearing she won’t let her son be destroyed by someone carrying the DNA of a monster.
The resulting fight is heartbreaking. Will feels like his mother is trying to control him, while Katie is acting out of pure, primal protection.
