Sally (Courtney Hope) has been patient with Billy (Jason Thompson, who teased Sally and Billy’s wedding) as his attention shifted toward Chancellor.
She knows how much proving himself matters to him, but there’s a difference between supporting Billy’s ambitions and watching another obsession take over his life.
Now, Sally worries about Billy’s lack of focus on their future.
That concern feels especially significant since they’re having a baby and they’ve been talking about marriage and building a life together. Billy may see winning Chancellor as part of creating that future, but Sally could see things very differently.
How long before she asks Billy whether he wants Chancellor more than the life they’ve been planning together?
Phyllis Looks for Advice in an Unexpected Place
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has become increasingly invested in Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), even as practically everyone around her questions why she cares so much about what happens to him.
After Matt disappeared, Phyllis immediately suspected Victor (Eric Braeden) was responsible and went looking for answers.
Now, she seeks advice from an unlikely source. Considering Phyllis rarely lacks confidence in her own judgment, the fact that she wants someone else’s opinion could say plenty about just how complicated her situation with Matt has become.
The bigger question may be whether Phyllis will actually listen if she hears something she doesn’t like.
Matt Clark Has Something to Say to Patty
While Phyllis searches for advice, Matt has business of his own. He pays Patty (Stacy Haiduk) a visit, bringing together two people who have a complicated history in Genoa City.
Exactly what Matt wants from Patty remains to be seen. However, the timing certainly raises questions, particularly with Phyllis becoming more determined to understand and protect him.
She may think she has Matt figured out, but his visit to Patty could prove there’s still plenty she doesn’t know.
