The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, September 4, reveals that Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will panic after things take a fatal turn at the rehab facility.
Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will also mull over a note that she finds on the beach with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and decide to send a response.
In Tahiti, Jack and Diane will come back to the room with an old bottle they discovered during their beach walk.
There’ll be a message inside, so Diane will get her finger jammed in the bottle trying to get it out.
Diane’s wedding band will get trapped in the bottle next, but Jack will help her remove both the note and the ring with the power of positive energy.
Once they read the note, they’ll realize it’s rather sad since someone asked if all love was lost.
Jack and Diane had a happy ending to their own love story, so Diane will write a positive message back and place it in the bottle in hopes that the writer might find it.
In Genoa City, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will give Devon Winters (Bryton James) the news about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) backing off Chancellor, but she’ll admit she’s sure it’s only until Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby is born.
On Friday’s Y&R episode, Lily will also defend Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) to Devon and hope that maybe he can give her newest brother a chance.
At Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) place, Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will arrive to take him to the hospital for his surgery.
Stephanie will mention wanting to make a stop first, so she’ll take Nate to the coffeehouse.
That’s where Nate will have a mini surprise party since Stephanie, Devon and Lily will all want to show some support ahead of his procedure.
After Stephanie takes Nate to Memorial, she’ll reconvene with Lily and Devon as she remains hopeful about Nate becoming a surgeon again.
At the rehab clinic, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be sharing a close moment with Marie when her husband, Logan Kirkland, shows up to discuss their divorce.
Logan will take some jabs at Nick after realizing he’s part of the powerful Newman clan.
Once Logan pushes Nick to give them some privacy, Nick will be hesitant to leave him alone with Marie.
After Marie assures Nick that it’s OK, Nick will exit and keep listening from around the corner.
Logan will blast Marie for being trash and will grill her about whether she’s been badmouthing him to her new boyfriend.
As Logan wonders if Marie is already hitting the sheets with Nick, he’ll get physical with her and leave her struggling in his grasp.
Marie will shove Logan away, which will lead to him falling and hitting his head.
Nick will come rushing in, but Marie will push him to leave before Logan wakes up and goes ballistic.
After Nick checks Logan’s pulse, he’ll look alarmed and urge Marie to get out of the room they’re in.
Marie will then realize how bad the situation is and worry that she’s killed her husband!
