General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Walks Away From the Mob as Anna’s Dangerous Secret Threatens Britt
Port Charles is heading toward a major reckoning as several longtime power players find themselves trapped by choices that could permanently change their lives.
Jason Morgan is preparing to leave the mob, Sonny Corinthos is also stepping away from organized crime, and Anna Devane is quietly battling a dangerous psychological crisis that could put Britt Westbourne directly in the line of fire.
Jason’s decision to leave the mob may be one of the biggest developments yet. After years as Sonny’s most loyal enforcer, Jason tells Britt that he wants out.
His experiences surrounding Rocco Falconeri’s shooting and the fallout that followed have clearly changed his priorities. Jason wants to be present for Danny Morgan and build a life that does not revolve around violence.
Britt, however, has every reason to doubt him. Jason has disappeared from her life before, and she knows better than most how difficult it is for someone like him to simply walk away from the criminal world. His decision could also leave Britt dangerously vulnerable.
Meanwhile, Sonny has also chosen to leave the mob, creating an unexpected opening in Port Charles’ power structure. During a conversation with Anna, however, the discussion takes a darker turn.
Anna remains haunted by her traumatic captivity and appears increasingly consumed by visions of Peter August. Her fractured state of mind could lead her toward an irreversible decision involving Britt.
That makes Anna’s next move particularly frightening. If she continues believing that Peter is guiding her, Britt could become the target of a deadly plan.
Sonny may be one of the few people capable of recognizing what Anna is going through, but whether she will trust him enough to admit the truth remains uncertain.
Elsewhere, Jocelyn Jacks finds herself dangerously close to revealing too much to Hudson Parker. While discussing the future of Jasper Jacks Enterprises, Jocelyn inadvertently gives Hudson information that could help him uncover the truth surrounding baby Phoebe.
Hudson’s arrival already sent Ethan Love fleeing Port Charles after the deception surrounding Phoebe’s paternity. If Hudson connects the remaining pieces, Brooklyn Quartermaine and Harrison Chase could find themselves facing an explosive new crisis.
Brooklyn is already under pressure as she continues trying to portray Willow as the threat to her marriage and family.
The irony is difficult to ignore: Brooklyn was responsible for framing Willow in connection with the Route 91 hit-and-run. Chase remains unaware of the extent of his wife’s deception, but that secret cannot stay buried forever.
At the same time, Michael Corinthos continues holding damaging leverage over Willow, while Drew Cain plots his own revenge following his recovery. Willow is increasingly surrounded by enemies, secrets and potential betrayals.
