Colleen Zenk, the soap vet who starred on As the World Turnsfor 32 years and recently played the recurring character Jordan Howard on The Young and the Restless, has been charged with a DUI.

According to an arrest report obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Zenk was arrested on May 15 in Naples, Fla., and charged with two misdemeanors: DUI resulting in damage to property or a vehicle belonging to another person; and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher. Both charges carry bonds of $1,000, which Zenk posted the following day.

Last month’s DUI charge marks the third Zenk has faced since 2010, following an erratic driving arrest in Wilton, Conn., that year, and another Naples arrest in 2017.

According to the arrest report, an officer from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Strada at Mercato shopping center and luxury condo complex in North Naples, Fla., on the evening of the 15th following a call about a vehicle collision. In the officer’s narrative of the arrest, a witness reported that they observed Zenk crash into a vehicle while backing out of a handicap parking spot in front of a Tommy Bahama store.

The witness claimed that Zenk attempted to flee the scene, but was stopped a few feet down the road. Zenk was allegedly seen stumbling when she exited the vehicle, and a sergeant who was dispatched to the scene to aid in the arrest claimed to smell alcohol on her breath.

Zenk told officers that she was at bar and restaurant Bar Tulia prior to the crash, which prompted a DUI investigation. The actress was put through the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus exercise, in which an officer asks an individual to follow the tip of a pen with just their eyes. According to the report, the officer observed Zenk’s eyes “making rapid, repetitive, and uncontrollable side to side movements” during the exercise — one of the indicators that cause individuals to fail the test.

She was also asked to perform the walk-and-turn exercise, and the one-leg stand exercise, and deviated from instruction on both counts. As a result, she was placed under arrest on two DUI charges, and asked to provide a breath sample. The first, according to the arrest report, yielded 0.206, and the second yielded 0.192 — both over the legal limit of 0.08.

Zenk was given a court date of June 10, that she did not show for after filing a Waiver of Appearance at Non-Mandatory Court Appearances. She then pleaded not guilty through her attorney, and a new court date was scheduled for July 29.

Zenk is best known for her 32-year run as the beloved yet long-suffering Barbara Ryan on As the World Turns. She portrayed the character from 1978 to 2010, racking up two Daytime Emmy nominations for her work. She most recently appeared on The Young and the Restless in a recurring capacity that lasted between 2023 and 2025.
