General Hospital Comings and Goings: Newbies Front and Center

General Hospital continues to expand its canvas with several familiar faces returning during the week of August 24–28. Two newcomers in particular remain at the center of attention, while a number of established characters also return to Port Charles with questions, suspicions and unfinished business.

One of the most intriguing returns is Troy Lennon Appel as Hudson Parker. The mysterious newcomer will make another appearance on Monday, August 24, when he pays a surprise visit to the Quartermaine estate. There, Hudson crosses paths with Brook Lynn, played by Amanda Setton, as well as Phoebe.

Hudson’s growing interest in Phoebe has already raised plenty of questions among viewers. His intentions remain unclear, and every new interaction seems to make the mystery surrounding him even deeper. Why is Hudson so interested in Phoebe, and what exactly does he want from the Quartermaine family? His latest visit could provide another important clue.

Meanwhile, Dean Geyer returns as Dr. Tristan Roberts on Wednesday, August 26. The Port Charles newcomer will open up to someone about his past, potentially revealing information that could change how viewers see him.

Tristan has quickly become an intriguing addition to the show, and learning more about his history could be an important step in establishing his place in Port Charles. His latest conversation may also reveal why he has kept certain parts of his life private.

Another familiar face returns when Kathleen Gati appears as Dr. Liesl Obrecht on Tuesday, August 25. This time, Liesl wants answers. Given her history and determination, she is unlikely to simply accept vague explanations. Her search for the truth could place another character under serious pressure.

Rick Hearst also receives more screen time as Ric Lansing. On Tuesday, Ric once again jumps to conclusions after seeing Elizabeth, played by Rebecca Herbst, together with Dante, portrayed by Dominic Zamprogna.

Ric has never been particularly good at ignoring situations that concern him, especially when relationships and family are involved. His latest assumption could create unnecessary tension and potentially lead to a confrontation before he knows the full story.

Finally, Wes Ramsey continues to appear as the late Peter August, whose ghost remains a haunting presence in Anna Devane’s life. Finola Hughes’ Anna continues to struggle with Peter’s lingering influence, even though he is no longer alive.

Peter’s ghostly appearances provide an unusual psychological element to Anna’s storyline. His presence suggests that the emotional consequences of their complicated history are far from over.

With Hudson’s mysterious interest in Phoebe, Tristan revealing more about his past, Liesl demanding answers and Ric once again making assumptions, General Hospital has plenty of drama lined up for the week of August 24–28.

And with Peter’s ghost still haunting Anna, Port Charles proves once again that some secrets — and some enemies — simply refuse to disappear.
