General Hospital Comings and Goings: New WSB Honcho, Two Leads Exit

Port Charles is undergoing another major casting shake-up as General Hospital welcomes a new WSB powerhouse while two familiar faces temporarily—or permanently—leave the canvas. The latest casting developments for the week of September 7–11, 2026, promise plenty of mystery, danger and emotional moments for viewers.

General Hospital Comings and Goings: New WSB Honcho, Two Leads Exit

One of the biggest additions is Alimi Ballard, who takes on the role of William Baines, the new head of the World Security Bureau. Ballard is no stranger to the soap world. Earlier in his career, he portrayed Frankie Hubbard, the son of Jesse and Angie Hubbard, in Loving and later The City. His arrival at General Hospital gives the WSB storyline a fresh direction following Jack Brennan’s dramatic demise.

Fans can also look forward to the return of Finn Carr as Rocco Falconeri. The troubled teenager is back on Monday, September 7, and his appearance could bring more complications to the younger generation in Port Charles.

Rocco will interact with Scout Cain, played by Kayden Brenna Tokarski. Their scenes on September 7 could prove particularly interesting as both characters navigate the complicated world surrounding their families. With so many secrets and conflicts affecting the adults in their lives, the younger characters may soon find themselves caught in situations they never expected.

Meanwhile, Troy Lennon Appel continues his role as Hudson Parker. The newcomer receives additional screen time on Wednesday, September 9, when Hudson gets an unexpected glimpse of something that could potentially have major consequences. What exactly does he see, and who might be exposed because of it?

Adding another layer of supernatural—or psychological—tension is Wes Ramsey, who continues appearing as the late Peter August.

Peter may be dead, but his presence continues to haunt Anna Devane. Throughout the week, he taunts and torments Anna, making it increasingly difficult for her to escape the memories of her troubled past.

On the exit front, fans will temporarily say goodbye to Genie Francis as Laura Collins. Laura recently traveled to Ireland to visit her husband Kevin and grandson Ace. However, viewers should not panic: the storyline coincides with Francis’ annual vacation, and Laura is expected to return to the screen later this fall.

The more permanent shock involves Chris McKenna, whose character Jack Brennan has been killed off. Brennan’s body was discovered floating in the Metro Court pool, bringing his dramatic run to an end.

McKenna first joined General Hospital in February 2025, replacing Charles Mesure in the role. His departure marks the end of a memorable chapter for the WSB storyline.

With a new WSB chief taking control, Laura temporarily away and Brennan gone for good, Port Charles is entering a dangerous new era—and the balance of power may never be the same.
