General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 31-September 4 note that Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Drew Cain’s (Cameron West) scheme against Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) will take a dire turn.

The ABC soap just released its weekly promo, and there are some highlights that indicate someone will exit the canvas in the days ahead.

Reports reveal that Chris McKenna is slated to leave GH this fall, as his Brennan character meets his demise, so it’s hard not to think that this week could be the last week for the WSB Chief.

During the Friday, August 28 show, Ava and Drew set a plan in motion.

Ava was going to have a meeting with Brennan to distract him so that Drew could head into his Metro Court hotel room and retrieve the blackmail evidence.

Drew wanted the intel so that Brennan could no longer have him under his thumb.

Drew explained that he was going to disable the security cameras at the Metro Court so he could slip in and out of the WSB agent’s hotel room without any video cameras detecting him.

Drew also asked Ava to plant a sleeping pill into Brennan’s drink during their meeting to ensure that the WSB Chief would be sidelined.

This was an added layer to Drew’s plan just in case it took him longer than anticipated to find the blackmailing information.

Ava was hesitant to do this, but she moved forward anyway. Now, during the week of August 31-September it looks like all heck is about to break loose.

In fact, the words “Their Time Is Up” flash across the screen in the promo, so there’s a good chance someone will be a goner when all is said and done.

As soon as Drew places that flash drive into the Metro Court’s security system and deactivates it, chaos will ensue.

The GH weekly promo shows Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) reaching out to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for help, and she’ll panic about what’s going on.

There’s also a part in the preview where Ava tells Drew they need to leave the premises ASAP, as Brennan, who looks completely out of it (post-consumption of his tainted drink), is in an elevator.

As Brennan is supposed to depart from the soap opera soon, this might be the storyline that could be setting his exit up, so what could happen to him?

Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) will also seemingly decide to slip into the Metro Court Pool amidst the chaos.

It’ll be dark, with no power, so whether she realizes that she should’ve stayed put in her hotel room or not, she may be in for a bigger surprise than getting in trouble.

Could Brennan stumble off the elevator and into the pool, only for poor Charlotte to find him?

Then again, maybe he passes out somewhere, and his heart stops.

Drew said that the pills were harmless, but if Ava placed more than a recommended dose in Brennan’s drink, anything is possible.

General Hospital spoilers imply that either way, Drew and Ava’s plan could end in Brennan’s demise, so it’ll be interesting to see how this storyline unravels.
