The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 28, reveal that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will catch up with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) since they’ll apparently be in the same frustrating boat.

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also enjoy some romantic bliss on their much-needed getaway.

In Tahiti, Jack and Diane will take a moment to reflect on how grateful they are.

Diane and Jack will no doubt talk about their reunion as well as all the recent turmoil they endured.

Jack and Diane will certainly be glad that Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) was arrested and that Patty was sent to a maximum-security psychiatric ward ahead of her trial.

As they savor this time together, Jack may promise Diane that Patty will remain locked up and will never hurt them again.

Of course, Y&R spoilers suggest Jack might be underestimating Patty and what she’s capable of!

Patty might put an escape plot in motion soon, especially since she could have an ally.

Matt should’ve known that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would strike back when he went against the agreement they made.

It looks like Matt has been arrested off-screen and tossed in the same psych ward that Patty’s trapped in.

Matt and Patty will have some intriguing reconnection scenes on Friday’s episode, so they may commiserate over their lousy situation.

Patty might also pitch the idea of getting out of there together if Matt’s willing to work as a team.

Back in Genoa City, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will blast Victor over Matt’s disappearance and demand some answers.

Victor will be cagey when it comes to what he’s done with Matt and refuse to admit anything concrete.

Phyllis will grow increasingly agitated as she tosses threats around, but Victor may urge her to just forget about Matt and move on.

If Phyllis pushes too hard on this, Victor may warn that she’ll regret it!
