The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 31-September 4 indicate that one Genoa City resident will get stuck in a mess.

There’ll be some sneaky moves and uncomfortable scenes as well, so let’s talk about what’s in store.

For starters, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will give Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) the green light to use Vibrante to go up against Jabot, but he won’t realize she’s mixing business with pleasure.

Victor will advise Victoria to stay away from the Abbott clan, including Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), to avoid any dirty retaliation over this Vibrante drama.

Of course, Victor won’t realize that Victoria has been sizzling with Kyle in secret.

There’ll be some awkwardness as Victoria and Kyle try to team up now – mostly because they’ll be eager to rip each other’s clothes off all over again!

At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) rehab facility, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will have an uneasy first meeting.

It also looks like Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will share tense scenes with Marie, who may drag Nick into some trouble.

Nick’s going to land in a compromising situation, so he might get caught kissing Marie or even end up facing accusations if she has drugs.

Over with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), he’ll have an intriguing conversation with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) that could have explosive consequences depending on what they’re cooking up.

Matt will ultimately meet up with Phyllis in secret, so she’ll agree not to tell anyone where he is or what she’s learned.

However, Phyllis could be playing with fire if Matt’s evil tendencies are about to take over.

After Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) gripes about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) not giving their future enough of his attention, she’ll have a pregnancy-related ordeal and most likely end up in the emergency room.

Although Sally and her baby should be all right, Billy will be rattled by the ordeal and just might be willing to put his Chancellor goals on hold.

Whatever the case, Billy will have some jaw-dropping news to deliver when he shows up at Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) place and finds her there with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

As for Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), he’ll have an important discussion with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) as they move past any issues regarding Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).

Other Y&R spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) time in Tahiti will come with a shocker.

Will that be connected to Patty’s revenge somehow?

Finally, Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) surgery is about to get underway, so he’ll get some support before he lands on the operating table.

Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will deepen her connection with Nate and hope this procedure leads to the revival of his surgical career.
